Stop!!

Today we volunteered at the Creek Week CITO in Folsom. I was the traffic control person at one end of the road and Linda of L3-Geo was at the other end. We have a whole new respect for flag people. We were ignored, yelled at, shown people's IQ of 1 that involved a hand gesture and more. The questions were the most interesting part of being a flag person. What happened? What are you doing? When are they going to repave the bridge? How the heck should I know!! Other cachers told me I should have said we start next week.

While I was directing traffic, Mike was using GeoJeep to winch up trash that people had thrown over the bridge. He pulled up tire after tire, a child's jeep toy, an old basketball hoop, parts of old cars, and lots and lots of bucket of miscellaneous trash. It's amazing what people will throw over a bridge. Have they ever heard of dumps????

We met lots of other cachers and we worked well as a team. After we were done, we went to lunch with Dennis and Dorothy of 2Dee2Dee and had more fun. Then it was off for more caching. Considering we didn't even start to cache until 2pm, we were pleased to have found 17 caches by 5pm. We headed home, creaked our way into the house and collapsed. We pretended to watch TV, but don't ask us what we saw.
